Janice was born in the small town of Cameron, Missouri and grew up in St. Joseph. She now resides in Kansas City Missouri. When you first meet her, you are immediately comfortable in her presence. Her gentle, unassuming demeanor is not what one would expect of a person with so much talent and ability.

Janice's natural, God-given abilities have been nurtured and developed through self-discipline and the teachings of Harry Fredman and Bob Byerley. Both of these mentors recognized her talents. Mr Fredman selected Janice as his assistant teacher, where she spent four and a half years under his employ. In June of 1988, she opened her own studio, where she continues to help students identify their own abilities and developed them. Prior to working with Mr. Fredman, Janice was involved in teaching many forms of arts and crafts, even previous to her move to Kansas City in 1978. Her teaching experience actually began as far back as 1968.

Janice's works have also been created using the surnames of Hancock, Reynolds, and Keck.

Janice coerces oils into images of intricate beauty, and undeniable likeness, and physiognomy of the individual. Her watercolors haunt with the chill of a snowstorm, her graphites intrigue the eye with their depth and detail.
